This specialized agricultural equipment distributor is currently looking to fill the role of Vice President of Parts.
VP of Parts
Located in Alliston, ON and reporting to the President the VP of Parts will be an active member of the senior management team. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s parts department and ensuring that the company continues to maintain and improve its high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes parts department budget for the year for all stores;
Reports monthly to parts department on results of budget, Key Performance Indicators and Profit and Loss statements;
Manages aftermarket duties and contributes to the overall company strategy;
Creates and administers pay and incentive system for parts customer service representatives and local store parts managers;
Conducts monthly 1:1 meetings with Alliston parts staff and all other parts managers at outside locations;
Conducts monthly conference calls with national parts team across all branches; and
Creates and administers education/training plans for parts staff;
Leads quarterly parts department meetings at each location;
Leads and manages improvement initiatives for parts department;
Establishes and implements a marketing plan for the parts department;
Works closely with sales to solve customer service issues that relate to the parts department;
Works with vendors to manage stocking and sales and return programs and vendor relationships;
The successful candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and must demonstrate the following:
7 – 10 years’ experience in a similar position within the agricultural industry and knowledge of farming equipment
University Degree or College Diploma
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
Strong understanding of PFW and Intellidealer software
Advanced knowledge of parts systems and practical operation of successful parts distribution and marketing systems
Strong leadership and management skills
Ability to make appropriate decisions in a faced paced environment
Results oriented and strong work ethic
