The Sales Specialist Capital Goods, reporting to the Regional Manager for English speaking Canada, is responsible for the sales support of our robotic milking systems, conventional milking systems, farm management and cooling solutions in the province of Ontario. In addition, they would coordinate and act as the trainer in group activities around ROBOTICS in other English speaking provinces.
RESPONSIBILITIES in ONTARIO
Launch and promote new and existing products, marketing tools, campaigns and activities towards our Ontario dealerships and personnel.
Setup & follow-up on our dealer development plans and objectives.
Deliver trainings to dealer personnel on both commercial and technical aspects of our product offering
Act as a one to one coach towards salesmen reinforcing best practices and results.
Benchmark and create emulation between sales personnel.
Leverage marketing intelligence from what competitors do in the market.
Provide market & product feedback to our product specialists in order to improve our marketing, product and service offering.
RESPONSIBILITIES in English Speaking Canada
Coordinate with the local Sales Specialists from Western and Eastern Canada, group activities around ROBOTICS. Act as the trainer in such group events towards prospects, users, influentials and advisors.
REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
The successful candidate will have the ability to serve as a dairy consultant – understanding the needs of our dealerships and issues on the farms. And then provide appropriate activities & solutions based on DeLaval’s marketing offering and product lines.
Competitive and outgoing, sales and technically oriented.
Strong communicator with the ability to influence others.
Works well individually as well as in a team.
Ability to travel mostly in Ontario and occasionally in other English speaking provinces.
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
B.A./B.S. in Animal Science, Sales, Marketing or other relevant degree required.
3-5 years of sales experience in a closely related product area required.
