Lakeland College s School of Agricultural Sciences requires a career-minded and energetic instructor with a major focus on range management and forage production, and a minor focus on soils and soil health, to teach in our Animal Science and Crop Technology programs. The ideal candidate would have expertise in the areas of: range and forage production and management, basic soil science, agronomy related to forage production, and direct seeding. This workload is also responsible for guiding and mentoring the Student Managed Farm Livestock Teams on forage and range mangement practices.
Responsibilities include classroom, lab, and field trip instruction, preparation and marking of assignments and exams, as well as participation in program and department meetings. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor s Degree in Agriculture or a related field and industry or farming related experience. The ability to work in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision is essential. Post-secondary teaching experience would be a definite asset.

This is a Continuing Full-time Faculty appointment commencing August 2, 2016. Lakeland College offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
