This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships through the purchasing and sales of grain and keeping well-informed of the grain industry, market trends, spreads, and Canada/United States basis tracking.

Key Responsibilities
Follow all Snobelen Farms Ltd. s Health and Safety, Quality, and Human Resources policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
Responsible for hedging and tracking spreads and basis
Assist customers with purchasing and sales of grain, including but not limited to providing market quotes and discussing market trends
Create value for the customer by analyzing and communicating marketing opportunities
Originate grain, drive market share, and generate increased revenue
Execute contracts and agreements, settlements, and cheques
Recognize and manage the risks (global, production, customer, weather, etc.) associated with doing business in grain industry
Liaise with all departments to develop and excel at goals
Continuous learning of the grain industry
General clerical duties
Education & Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Agriculture, Economics or equivalent required
2-5 years experience
Required Skills
Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
Strong understanding of company products, services and internal software
Strong understanding of CBOT and MGEX
Excellent written and oral communication
Quick and accurate mathematical computations
Communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Effectively function as a team player
Handle multiple tasks and remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests
Maintain high level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
