Full-Time Elevator Operator (ID: 2867)

Beechwood Agri Services is a full-service grain elevator offering marketing, handling and storage out of three locations in Southern Ontario. Beechwood Agri Services deals with conventional, non-GMO and organic grains and specializes in Identity Preserved soybeans.

Skills:

• Understanding of the grain industry
• Experience grading grain an asset but willing to train
• Experience working with equipment such as but not limited to skid steer, forklift, tractors etc.
• Willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed
• Experience running a grain elevator, grain drying system an asset
• Welding experience
• Able to use a computer proficiently and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• AZ/DZ License an asset

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and shipping grain
• Grading grain as it is received
• Completing all necessary paperwork for incoming and outgoing loads
• Keeping detail bin log records of incoming and outgoing loads
• Drying corn during harvest season
• Managing physical seed inventory and loading customers during planting season
• Daily upkeep of grain facility to ensure tidiness
• Monitoring all storage bins to ensure grain is kept in good quality
• General maintenance to buildings and storage facility
• Other tasks as required

Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday 8-5pm some weekends and evenings required during harvest season and seed season.
