Please note this is a contract (12 month) part-time position (10 to 12 hours per week) with a high possibility of permanence afterwards. The main duties of this position will be to supervise milking and collect data from supervised tests, collect various other data on the farm and transmit them to the computer system. The incumbent will determine with producers the strengths and weaknesses of their herd. He/She will also participate in customer development, will promote Lactanet products and services that best fit the producer’s needs.
Requirements
College Diploma in Animal Production Technology or Professional Studies Diploma in Farm Management and Technology, or equivalent;
Very good knowledge of English, written and spoken;
Possess a car and a valid driving license;
Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Manual dexterity, precision and thoroughness;
Ability to understand and explain reports;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an aptitude for sales;
Innovative, dedicated and quality oriented;
Team spirit, willing to learn and client oriented;
Willingness to travel across the island (a big asset).
Working Conditions
Work is done on the farm. Daily travels. We provide a laptop and a printer. Mileage, meals, and accommodations are reimbursed when you are traveling a certain distance from your home.
