The Cattle Processer is responsible for the Processing and Rehandling of Cattle.
The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment; Work under pressure while treating animals, tagging, processing, etc.; Repetitive tasks, and capable of handling heavy items. This is an Agriculture involved position and therefore it is exposed to the elements. Must be able to work well with others and carry out independent tasks. Familiar with computer use such as Microsoft excel, word. Attention to detail is imperative.
The person we are seeking must be flexible and a positive person with excellent organizational and communication skills for a position in our Cattle Processing area. This position includes:
Completing protocol related to all new cattle that arrive as well as the rehandling of existing cattle.
All health related functions in the care and handling of feedlot cattle
The handling of all incoming and processed cattle; this includes assessing health and giving injections of vaccinations and antibiotics
Also required is the management of health and treatment data in our computer system to track each animal’s treatment history.
This position involves a variety of other cattle handling tasks as well as regular farm related duties
