A Field Technician will work out in the field and reach out to the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities. They will promote new applications, product designs and/or modifications of products to the community. They will be responsible for providing product information for their equipment. They will perform activities which support and drive sales. Uses independent judgment and exercises discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of its nature.
What you Will Do:
Will work with the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities to promote Titan products and programs, including updates on product performance, new products and new applications.
Will work with equipment dealers to promote equipment dealer OE specifications to increase OE sales.
Will work with Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling customers to understand their business and drive sales opportunities to our tire dealers.
Will work with Sales to coordinate efforts to promote Titan products and find opportunities including working with tire dealers, participating in trade shows and other promotional events.
Will provide promotional, print and technical material to the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities.
Will demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas that allows an effective presentation.
Will develop a database of equipment dealers and customers through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling throughout the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities.
Will assure customer satisfaction and support all phases of new product design.
Will establish professional relationships with customers, equipment dealers, tires dealers and other appropriate members of the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities.
Will assist customers in prospering and maximizing their return by utilizing Titan products.
Will submit weekly activity/call reports, including customer related activities, customer perceptions, issues uncovered and opportunities found among others.
Will perform other duties as assigned with minimal supervision.
What you will Need:
Knowledge of applications in the Farming, Earthmoving and Material Handling communities.
Bachelors, degree/Associates degree in business or related field, preferred; and/or equivalent combinations of education, experience and training that provides the essential functions of this position.
Strong communication skills, self motivated, self starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized and strong time management skills.
Working knowledge of computer operations including and not limited to: internet, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.
Competent in assessing customer needs.
Good reasoning ability.
Ability to communicate with customers, management and co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is critical.
Must be able to lift and move around up to 50 pound objects.
Must have a valid driver s license and good driving record.
