Responsibilities
Assists in promoting precision farming products.
To become competent in the understanding of the mainline solutions and precision farming products in sales, service, parts, and all other departments.
Promote and sell service as the internal and external technical specialist for all precision farming products.
Coordinate and development of employee and customer training for advanced precision farming products.
Provides solutions-based value added services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.).
May also support the dealership efforts with third-party providers (Certified Crop Advisor, Ag Service Provider, etc.) and related mainline businesses.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
1+ years experience in an agriculture-related role.
Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred.
Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.
Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification is mandatory.
Sales
Promote and sell value added services to existing customers.
Promote and sell 3rd party partnership packages to customers.
Answer questions that salesman and customers have about products.
Assist salesmen with sales calls to provide good customer understanding of the product they are purchasing.
Assist in developing and follow-up on AMS marketing plan.
Attend dealership sales meetings.
Work regularly with salesmen to develop target customer lists for each AMS product.
Keep up with ever-changing AMS product line. Be the central point in the business to manage complexity. Make salesmen more efficient by freeing them from having to each keep up with the complexity of the product.
Promotions
Assist in all advertising of AMS products including direct mails, TV/Radio/Billboard and in-store signage and displays.
Demonstrations
Setup and delivery of AMS demo inventory and support customer on-farm demonstrations of guidance and documentation products.
Follow up with salesmen to ensure targeted customers receive demonstrations.
Clinics/Training
Assist in planning, organizing, promoting, and deliver guidance clinics before and during selling season.
Assist in delivery of training on Apex desktop software. Collect revenue for one-on-one training.
Complete AMS training credits/attendance for necessary credits. Re-deliver necessary technical training to technicians. Re-deliver sales training to salesmen.
Assist in training customers on tools available online.
Support
Deliver all AMS product to customers, and provide initial one-on-one training.
Provide technical assistance for machine-down issues like identifying root cause of customer issues and identifying failed components.
Provide Follow-up After the Sale for all AMS components.
Assist in Develop/Organize a "User's group" for customers to get together, share info and best practices, and a time for the dealer to provide "mass" training to users.
