Parkland Farms is seeking a mechanic to maintain a fleet of 6 John Deere Combines, 12 John Deere tractors and the associated equipment with the help of an apprentice. Majority of work will be performed in a new shop with in floor heat, with service calls done during the planting and harvesting season with a service truck.

Basic Qualifications

-Experienced Mechanic

-Familiarity with agriculture equipment

-A strong background with hydraulics and electrical are an asset

-Manage the ag shop and its contents. Keep tools and all necessary work items organized and accessible

Job Duties

-Assess and diagnose equipment issues

-Work independently and manage a variety of tasks

Preferred Qualifications

-Class DZ licence or willing to obtain

-Farming background

-Owning your own tools

-Experience with John Deere Equipment considered an asset but not a requiremnent
