We are seeking an outgoing, resourceful and energetic individual with demonstrated leadership skills to join our Bonduelle Team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement planting schedules and sequencing
Establishment, coordination and monitoring of vegetable production programs (peas, beans and sweet corn) and crop research trials
Make pesticide recommendations for weeds, insect and disease control
Collect applicable data, complete reports and update grower and crop databases
Liaise with contract growers on establishment of best cropping practices and programs to optimize quality vegetable production
Ensure crops are harvested at optimum maturity and delivered on schedule
Direct/coordinate the activities of custom harvesting contractors and carriers relative to the needs of the production facility
Maintain a close link between field and processing operation
Qualifications:
Post secondary education in a discipline related to Agriculture and relevant work experience
Demonstrated knowledge of agronomy, nutrient management and crop protection products
Food processing knowledge is an asset
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated occupational health & safety competency
