As the AI Trainer & Technical Support Specialist you will play an integral part in developing and fostering our goal of having the best-trained and most knowledgeable staff in the industry while supporting our clients and customers in achieving successful breeding programs.  The AI Trainer & Technical Support Specialist is responsible for internal staff training and skills maintenance for AI technicians as well as installation, technical support and training for tools and systems used by our clients on-farm for herd management.

You will be accountable for:

• Management and delivery of EastGen’s exceptional AI training program to key customers and/or public training courses primarily for bovine breeding
• Provide intro herd management program training to clients
• Train to all new EastGen AI Technicians in breeding techniques
• Continuous evaluation of EastGen AI Technician performance to ensure high quality services are being provided
• Administration of the AI School program including scheduling, responding to participant inquiries, budgeting and reports
• Training & general sales and support for ai24 systems

To be successful you will need:

• At least 2 years of AI experience in cattle and/or goats
• Diploma in Agriculture
• Understanding of animal health and welfare best practices
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Problem solving
• Customer services
• Planning and organization skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office tools (outlook, excel, word etc)

Note: This role will require some travel within Ontario.
