Are you a hands-on agricultural expert with a passion for maximizing crop yields and leading field operations? Our client in Chatham, ON is looking for a Direct of Field Operations to take charge of our in-field crop production and drive operational excellence. Reporting directly to the owner, this role is all about rolling up your sleeves, optimizing growing conditions, and ensuring we produce the highest-quality crops season after season.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of in-field crop production, from planting to harvest.
• Develop and implement strategic growing plans to optimize yield and quality.
• Analyze data and field conditions to improve efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
• Lead and mentor a skilled farming team, ensuring seamless coordination of daily operations.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety, environmental, and agricultural regulations.
• Stay ahead of industry advancements, integrating innovative and sustainable farming practices.

• Extensive experience in crop management and large-scale agriculture.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train, and motivate a high-performing team.
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach to optimize production.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage farm operations effectively.
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices, irrigation systems, and environmental regulations.
• A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is a plus—but hands-on expertise is what matters most.
