They also own and operate a chain of agricultural themed retail outlets and are currently seeking a Director of Retail who will provide guidance and support to their growing retail outlets in the Southwestern Ontario area. What you will do:
Enhance customer service focus for customers in all retail stores.
Develop and adapt annual store growth plans for all retail stores.
Purchasing for all stores and maintain store inventories, margins and retail pricing.
Develop point of sale systems and vendor support.
Plan and implement monthly store promotions and marketing messages.
Develop company website and online media presence.
Develop and implement exterior store designs including new buildings.
Develop and measure in-store layout and design to fit the companies core strategy.
Lead support to Retail Managers at each location.
Peer support to Controller for financial reporting and HR.
Train and develop staff on nutrition and selling skills.
Ensure all retail staff learn mission and vision
Ensure all staff are fully aware of company culture.
Learn and develop new self-skills – coaching support persons, reading etc.
What you will need:
Experience in multi-store retail operations
Degree in Business Retail Management or related field
3 to 5 years experience in Retail Management in diverse inventory stores
Proven ability to increase sales and profitability
Strong understanding of Retail Merchandising, store layout and operations
Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills
Experience with retail planning, point of sale systems with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Ability to train retail staff and others in day-to-day store operating procedures, store safety as required to achieve optimal customer service standards
