Responsible for making sales and service calls on horse owners and trainers increasing the awareness and volume of Purina horse feed. Making sales and service calls, connecting with retailers, increasing the redistribution volume of both Purina horse feed and Agribrands Purina Pet Food.
Position Overview:
Making on farm sales and service calls to horse owners and trainers, promoting and selling Purina horse feed.
Making regular calls at race tracks, training stables, etc. to build profile and grow volume for Purina, Purina dealers and retailers.
Building the Purina FarmStore (retail) distribution system by developing points of sales and executing marketing plans.
Calling on independent pet food stores, hardware stores, and all other potential retailers of pet food, promoting and distributing Agribrands Pet Food.
Seeking out and making sales and service calls on all dog breeders of significant size, promoting and selling Agribrands Purina pet food.
Completing daily sales call reports and sending copies to the Purina Farm Store Distribution Manager on a weekly basis.
Updating dealerships customers and prospects mailing lists, with complete phone numbers, e-mail and mailing addresses.
Representing Purina, Purina dealers and retailers at area consumer events such as shows, fairs etc.

5% Supporting "feed delivery logistics, customer service and in-store marketing" strategy.

Solid sales experience in the field (minimum of 5 yrs) and a successful track record: Required
Highly organized & self motivated, able to set and follow priorities, manage multiple projects & deadlines. Able to work flexible hours during some evenings and weekends: Required
Able to work in a team environment, demonstrate respect and share integrity: Required
Good computer skills (word, PowerPoint, excel): Required
Knowledge of Equine nutrition and animal husbandry plus other companion animal experience: Required
