Job Title: Farm Equipment Mechanic

Brant Tractor, located in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking to fill the full time position of Farm Equipment Mechanic. The main duties include the following.

Farm Equipment Mechanics repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain equipment used for farming and similar activities.

Main Duties:

1. Check agricultural equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
2. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
3. Adjust equipment and repair and replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
4. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers specifications.
5. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
6. Service attachments and working tools such as harvesting and tillage equipment
7. May attach components and adjust new farm equipment

Employment Requirements:

1. Completion of high school
2. Minimum three years experience
3. Farm Equipment Trade Certification
4. Must have own tools
5. Some Saturday work required.
6. Hourly wage 24.50 per hour
