ISO driver/operator
We are looking to bring on 2 driver/operators at our 3rd generation family farm, Highland Feeders Ltd., located North of Vegreville. Operations include crop, cow calf, and feedlot.
Requirements:
*must be eligible to work in Canada*
- Farm hand experience (preferred)
- Comfortable/Experienced farm equipment operator (mandatory)
- Clean Class 5 drivers license (mandatory)
- Class 1 (an asset but not mandatory)
- Flexible schedule (mandatory)
scope of work:
During harvest - swathing, running combine, grain cart, hauling grain.
After harvest - hauling grain, yard maintenance, feeding cattle, hauling cattle (class 1 drivers).
Spring- cultivating, seeding, rolling fields, hauling cattle (class 1 drivers).
Summer -feeding cattle, yard maintenance, spraying.
We are looking for employees who are motivated and pay attention to detail. Experience is an asset however is not a complete requirement. We would consider bringing on an individual with drive and motivation to learn.
Wage is based on experience. Schedule is subject to change as farm work is based on seasons and weather. Employee must have a flexible schedule during harvest.
Health benefits are offered to employees after probation period has been met, overtime is paid at time and a half.
