Feed Mill Operator (ID: 5492)

Our Client is a local provider of innovative feed specialties, premixes and nutritional services for the animal nutrition industry. They are a very successful and growing team and currently looking for someone to join as a full-time Feed Mill Operator for day shifts. What you will do:

• Receive ingredients into the mill - both bulk and bagged
• Conduct grading of ingredients received
• Filling micro ingredient boxes and clean out ingredient bins as needed
• Work with employees to identify and addressing ingredient flow issues
• Bag complete feeds
• Load complete feeds orders on to trucks
• Ensure the mill is kept clean including the grounds surrounding the mill
• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks including greasing bearings, checking gear boxes, inspection/tightening of belts, etc. is conducted
• Assist in repair and maintenance projects with the maintenance staff
• Assist in maximizing the efficiency of the mill
• Ensure that company safety practices are adhered to
• Other duties as needed

What you will need:

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be well organized and be able to work well individually as part of a team
• Must be able to manage efficiently his tasks and ensure that production deadlines are met to satisfy customer needs
• Previous agricultural work experience in a production environment is a an asset.
• Forklift licence would be an asset
• Be flexible to work rotating shifts when needed
• Available for occasional on-call hours
• A valid DZ license or the ability to obtain one is considered an asset
