Full Time, Farm Equipment Service Technician M&P Farm Equipment, a well established, independent Farm Equipment Dealership, located 3 km North of Carleton Place, is seeking a motivated Licensed Service Technician to join our team. We are an authorized dealer for Deutz Fahr, McCormick, Branson and Landini tractors, Pottinger Hay and Tillage, Kuhn Krause Tillage and many others too numerous to mention. We service what we sell, as well as repairing all makes, offering our customers the equipment they need, superb customer service to maintain their new equipment and keeping their used equipment in the field. Responsibilities and Requirements of the Applicant: We require a full time Farm Equipment Technician that will be responsible for the following: Repair and perform; electrical, hydraulic, mechanical repair and maintenance on various pieces of farm equipment including but not limited to diesel and gas tractors and self propelled units, hay equipment, tillage and small implements both in the shop or on customer s site. Have the ability to, or the aptitude to; Program, update and calibrate on board computer control systems. Commitment and practice personal safety and the safety of others by ensuring safe working conditions and adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. Maintain shop tools, such as hydraulic press, milling machines, welders, iron worker, air compressors, lathe, forklifts, telehandler, etc. Supply and Maintain your own complete set of mechanics hand tools, impact tools, creeper, etc. Possess a Valid Drivers license and a clean Driver s abstract Possess the Physical ability to handle heavy components Hold a Valid trade certification and/or currently be registered in a related Apprenticeship Program Having the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with strong attention to detail is required. Congenial personality, professional attitude and image are required Ability to fabricate and weld is an asset but not a necessity. Ability to work independently is an asset. Previous experience working in the Agricultural field and as a Farm Equipment Technician is an asset.
