Job description
We are looking for a suitable (Mechanical) Engineering Technologist who has the primary responsibility of application designing our reversible engine cooling fan into a diverse range of equipment, machines and trucks. Reporting to the Senior Application Engineer, the position of Engineering Technologist is a fully integrated member of Cleanfix North America to support the sales and manufacturing efforts of the company. In addition, this position also requires a leading or providing supporting role in resolving technical issues of Cleanfix products with direct or OEM customers.
Responsibilities
Strong technical aptitude and capabilities in mobile equipment for mechanical, mobile electrical and hydraulic problem solving.
Ability to multi-task; strong time management, organizational skills and self-motivation with a strong, independent work ethic
Prepares necessary feedback and reports
Diagnose technical problems to provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, tolerancing, hydraulics, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving
Must pay attention to details with a customer service attitude
Assessment of Cleanfix Reversible Fan installations sometimes to be performed at customer locations
Provide solution to routine or unique installation problems
Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner
Attend occasional trade shows or support other business functions
Requirements/Qualifications
A track record of proven application design and technical depth. A project portfolio would be an asset
Strong focus on meeting customer commitment deadlines with the highest level of quality standards
Proactive in response to problems as well as in the initiation of corrective actions
The ability to measure and improve performance in an engineering and design and process environment
Training and experience in lean manufacturing is an asset
Capability in Solid Works design program
Knowledge in Mastercam is an asset
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
The ability to create and maintain a team environment focused on continuous improvement
Willingness to be a long-term contributor and strong team member within a stable and growing organization
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Must pay attention to details with a customer service attitude
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes
Valid passport
Valid Ontario drivers license
Own a reliable vehicle
