They offer an expansive range of products and services for artificial insemination, embryo transfer and associated biotechniques that effectively support customers working in animal breeding, veterinary medicine and research around the globe.
This successful and growing business is now seeking an energetic, self-motivated person with ruminant livestock industry knowledge and experience to join their sales team as an Account Manager – Livestock Reproduction Division.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing strong relationships, and driving sales growth. This role requires excellent negotiation and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs. The Account Manager will play a crucial role in business development and ensuring client satisfaction.
Duties
Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments, making initial presentation, and understanding each accounts requirement.
Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts by explaining products and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts.
Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services and developing new applications.
Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
Recommend new product and service options by evaluating current product results and identifying results needed.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events in the US and periodically in other countries.
Monitor the development of sales, prepare reports, and evaluate the introduction of new products to the product line.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of a 2-year degree in Animal Science, Animal Reproduction, or related field experience in account management or a related field with
a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a related field with previous sales experience. and/or have Masters in Reproduction Physiology or DVM will be looked at favourably.
A strong track record in industry related sales.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing projects or teams effectively.
Proficiency in analyzing data to inform business decisions and strategies.
Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering results.
