Position: Sales Account Manager Territory: Manitoba & Eastern Saskatchewan Location: May reside or be willing to relocate to territory
Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required for the position
About this Role:
We’re looking for a Sales Account Manager with previous experience selling liquid or conventional fertilizer to ag retailers or dealers (seed sales is also acceptable). A strong candidate for this position will have a proven track record of success in the following areas: 1) being adept at executing the sales process and gaining commitment from the customer. 2) creating territory plans to effectively identify, attract and position products within the market. 3) leveraging and elevating relationships to become a trusted advisor to the grower and retailer and 4) a strong agronomic background.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet and Exceed quarterly sales goals by obtaining new agricultural retail partners.
Successfully manage time between acquiring new customers and maintaining existing relationships.
Position territory for success by creating territory plans and outlining opportunities for growth.
Serve as a consultant to Retail Partners and Growers by diagnosing crop and soil needs.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture related discipline (ex: Agronomy, crop and soil science, etc.).
Minimum of 4 or more years of sales experience recruiting agricultural retail partners.
Previous experience giving crop and soil recommendations is a benefit.
Understanding of crops grown in territory (Canola, Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Potatoes etc).
Must have previous experience selling any of the following: conventional or liquid fertilizer products, seed or ag chemicals.
Strong business development skills to create business plans for territory, develop customer relationships and effectively grow region.
Thorough knowledge and execution of the sales process.
Valid driver's license with good driving record
