Job Description: The successful applicant will assist with plant breeding research activities at the Woodstock Corn Research Centre, located just south of Tavistock. Duties/Responsibilities: Various areas of plant breeding and yield test research including: seed preparation and packaging, planting, data collection, and breeding nursery pollination.
Competencies: Must be willing to work outdoors in various environments. Must be willing to work additional hours and Saturdays during peak periods. Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision and effectively lead people. Individual must display a high degree of self-motivation and integrity. Previous research work and/or related farm work experiences is an asset. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the station is required.
