Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Poultry Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our breeder and broiler farm facilities. This role combines hands-on, in-barn responsibilities with managerial oversight, planning, and reporting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimal flock health, production performance, and team leadership while maintaining strict adherence to biosecurity protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of both breeder and broiler farm facilities
Daily monitoring of flock health, performance, and welfare, taking corrective action as required
Schedule, supervise and oversee barn ship-outs
Implement and enforce strict on-farm biosecurity protocols
Supervise, train, and schedule a team of 3–5 employees
Perform and assist with hands-on barn duties, including feeding, inspections, and general care
Maintain accurate production, health, and compliance records
Coordinate with veterinarians, suppliers, and service providers
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance
Prepare reports and provide operational updates to ownership
Familiar with modern barn climate controls & technology
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar poultry farm management or supervisory role
Direct experience with breeder and/or broiler operations strongly preferred
Strong understanding of poultry biosecurity protocols and best practices
Proven leadership experience managing small teams
Solid organizational, record-keeping, and reporting skills
Ability to balance hands-on farm work with administrative responsibilities
Valid driver’s license
Work Schedule & Requirements
Regular work week of 45–60 hours
Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as required
Comfortable working in barn environments and varying weather conditions
