Roles and Responsibilities
Assisting in maintaining the financial reporting system for the Dealership.
Assisting in ensuring the paper flow from all Departments is on time and accurate.
Assisting in keeping accounting and bookkeeping entries such as journals and general ledgers current and accurate.
Reconciling the numerical control of documents such as purchase orders, work orders and parts invoices.
Assisting in producing and analyzing monthly financial statements.
Assisting in ensuring reports for the main line supplier is up to date and submitted on time.
Assisting in cash reconciliation.
Assisting in preparing daily bank deposits.
Assisting in balancing bank statements.
Assisting in preparing and presenting applications for credit, with the necessary financial data and other requirements.
Assisting in keeping the accounts receivables and accounts payable current and within 30 days.
Assisting in preparing payroll and calculating commission for the commissioned employees.
Assisting in preparing and submitting government remittances on schedule (UIC, CPP, EHT, WSIB, Source Deductions, taxes, etc.).
Assisting in verifying inventory, i.e.: assets, parts, new/used equipment, and other whole goods.
Assisting customers.
Responding to customer problems as quickly as possible.
Assisting in purchasing office equipment and supplies.
Assisting in keeping tax and insurance records up to date.
Receiving, opening, delivering, collecting, stamping and posting mail.
Collecting data and information for manager.
Faxing, e-mailing, receiving, recording and filing various types of correspondence.
Establishing, maintaining and carrying out duties related to the Dealership's filing, recording and retrieval systems, both manual and computer.
CARRY OUT TELEPHONE DUTIES FOR THE DEALERSHIP BY:
Answering telephone as courteously and quickly as possible.
Ensuring people are not put on hold (neglect) for more than a very short time.
Directing calls to the proper person, the first time.
Taking messages, if required.
Ensuring messages are received and followed up.
Ensuring all calls, questions, queries and complaints are dealt with promptly and courteously.
