Corteva Agriscience is seeking a talented and committed Production / Field Assistant – Summer Student to join our Wingham location site. At Corteva, you will help us grow what’s next.

The successful applicant will assist with canola production activities in the fields as well as at the Wingham Parent Seed Plant. The position will be 4 months in duration (April 2024-August 2024) with flexibility to start sooner or extend longer.

Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

How will you help us grow?

• Crop care
• Field maintenance
• Crop Scouting
• Driving a company assigned vehicle and trailer
• Lead a team to assist with canola roguing field activities
• Support in field activities from planting to harvest
• Support general facility maintenance
• Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required

Requirements- Who You Are:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

• Valid G driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation to the station is required.
• Individual must display a high degree of self-motivation and self-initiative and ability to work well with others.
• Must be able to manage time and priorities effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Computer aptitude is essential.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various environments.
• Must be willing to work additional hours and Saturdays during peak periods.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Previous agricultural work and/or related farm work experiences
